    Development Progress?

Hi Logan, Not looked in for a while. Glad you acknowledged the problems with the current beta. I had to give up on even trying to use FeedBeast on a regular basis. However, in the meantime I have used several other packages and all were quite functional but lacked the appeal of FeedBeast, which has a good looking front end and so much potential if you can implement all the things you planned. I really hope you can deliver that. Any news on when we mighjt see the next version? I am not a developer so forgive me if the question is stupid. Best wishes with it anyway. Doug

    Re: Development Progress?

Hi Doug. Thanks for the vote of confidence.

While actual FeedBeast development is on hold, I've been working hard on creating and implementing the next-gen platform that will eventually host the next major version of FeedBeast, 2.0. So while I've kind of given up on 1.6, things have definitely not stopped. Due to the nature of what I'm doing (actually inventing a new platform) there's really no way to tell when everything is going to be ready for 2.0. All I can say is that you should see a brand new, major version of FeedBeast that will knock the socks off the competition sometime this year.

In the meantime, please do make any formal requests for features (in the Suggestions forum) so I can be keeping these things in mind while I work on the next version.

I haven't completely decided to forgo another release before 2.0, but my efforts are definitely centered around Lapdog (my platform) and the 2.0 release of FeedBeast.
